3 Leasing Hacks with your ApplyConnect Property Links

SHARE:

ApplyConnect® property links are one of the fastest and most direct ways to get applicants to apply for your vacancy, but are you taking full advantage of the free feature? With these leasing hacks, you’ll be able to take your custom URL and promote your vacancies beyond your email signature.

First things first, you’ll need to retrieve your custom advertising property link. To get your rental’s link, all you need to do is log into your account and click on the “My AC Links” tab. There you’ll be able to create new property links and copy your current property hyperlink. Now that you have your ApplyConnect® URL, the big question is: how can you use it to bring in more applicants?

Share your Vacancies on Social Media

Advertising your available rental online is one of the easiest ways to attract new tenants, and can be especially vital when trying to rent to millennials and beyond. Whether you’re using Facebook or Twitter, letting your followers and Facebook friends (who also live in the same area) know that you’re looking to rent to someone can encourage your friends to refer others to apply. In addition to sharing on social media, if you’ve had previous prospects, and you know their email address, you can email them your property link directly through ApplyConnect®.

Create URL Buttons for your Online Postings

If you’re posting on a simple listing site like Craigslist, it can be difficult for a link to stand out amongst your property’s details. To direct potential renters to apply, use sites like Da Button Factory or Button Optimizer to create a free button with your ApplyConnect® link embedded inside. This will make sure an interested applicant won’t miss their chance to easily apply online.

Save Paper with QR Codes

When holding an open house or house showing, invest in some cheap business cards printed with a QR code to your ApplyConnect® property link (like the one below). QR Codes are the pixilated boxes you see marketing brochures, handouts, even cereal boxes and it allows potential applicants to use their cellphone to take them directly to your ApplyConnect® property application. No matter where your potential applicant is, with the business card with your link on it, your applicants will be able to leave the house showing and apply online or right on their smartphone. Say goodbye to spare rental applications!

Whether you use your ApplyConnect® custom URLs in your email signature or on your business card, there’s no incorrect way to market your property. Working around your comfortability and resources is key. That being said, hopefully a few of these leasing hacks will cut down on time and draw in a surplus of applicants.
