ApplyConnect® Enhances Payment Features for Landlords and Real Estate Agents

SHARE:

After feedback from our amazing users, ApplyConnect is proud to announce that we have released additional report payment features for landlords and real estate agents! As of today, users now have the option to purchase their applicant’s background screening report. This not only minimizes any potential liabilities on your end, but makes the entire tenant screening process faster and easier for your rental applicants.

“How do I get Started?”

To enable landlord/agent report payments, follow these steps:

  1. Log In
  2. Go to “My Account”
  3. Click the box that says “Enable Landlord/Agent Payments” (pst- it’s under the “extra features” box)
  4. Add your credit or debit card information under “Credit Card Payment Details Options”.

When you send an application request to a tenant, you will be able to enable and disable paying for the report with each invite. This way if you want to pay for one applicant’s report, but not pay for another, you can do so. After the rental applicant completes the application, you will receive a receipt via email.

New User Tip: If you are a new ApplyConnect® user, you can enable this option on the registration form while establishing your account.

“If I enable Landlord/Agent Payments, will there be anything different in the background report?”

No. No matter who pays for the report, each ApplyConnect® report is $29.95 and includes the applicant’s full Experian® credit report with VantageScore®, a nationwide criminal and eviction background check, and sex offender registry search. You will also still have access to our online rental application, automated decision letters with legal notices, online rental payments, and other free resources.

“I don’t want to pay for my applicant’s background report.”

Don’t worry – ApplyConnect®’s platform requires the applicant to purchase the report by default. Unless you choose to enable the new payment feature for landlords and real estate agents in your account settings, our reports will continue to be a no cost solution for you.
