COMPLIANCE

ApplyConnect compiles and reports information for use by property managers, landlords, realtors, commercial entities, employers and other professionals for use in the execution of residency decisions. The collection and dissemination of information in this manner is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). As a consumer reporting agency, ApplyConnect is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We acknowledge responsibility to both clients and their applicants and practice impartiality and respect for the consumer’s privacy. ApplyConnect utilizes extensive internal training, written procedure and client education to insure the accuracy of information from any and all sources and see that such information is reported only to qualified clients/subscribers with a permissible purpose pursuant to the FCRA.

ApplyConnect reserves the right to deny participation privileges to any entity who would use the information for unlawful purposes, unlawful discrimination, or willfully fail to follow all provisions detailed by the FCRA, regulations from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or other applicable Federal, State and local law.

Employees that have access to consumer reports, sensitive consumer data or business credit access are trained on the sensitive nature of this information. All ApplyConnect professionals having any contact with consumer information are trained on the civil and criminal liabilities for misuse of this information.

Consumers are entitled to obtain one free copy of his/her consumer file from certain consumer reporting agencies during each 12-month period. For information on how to receive a copy of your Experian, TransUnion or Equifax report please visit: www.annualcreditreport.com.

ApplyConnect will provide consumers, free of charge, a copy of eviction record information contained in our national database upon written request on an annual basis.  Please fill out the contact form on this page and specify “Free Annual Eviction Report” in the comments section or call (800) 288-4757 for more information.  You may also fax your request with the requested information to (888) 797-2254, attention: Compliance.  To avoid potential ID theft, ApplyConnect will require additional identifying documentation from you to ensure that you are the subject of the report prior to releasing any information.
