Finding the perfect tenants doesn't have to break the bank

ApplyConnect is a no cost tenant screening solution, meaning its free for landlords and real estate agents. As the tenant credit check is consumer-initiated, the applicant pays the $29.95 fee for their singular report that is shared with just you, or for only ten dollars more, they can share with two additional properties. Landlords and real estate agents may choose to pay for the applicant’s Apply One Report, but will never be required to make a payment.

FAQ

Most renters purchase a copy of their report to share with properties they apply for, and ApplyConnect is designed for this to be the default process. The property may also choose to purchase the report for their applicants. This can be done easily through the “My Account” tab when logged in, and by checking the box that says “Enable Landlord/Agent Payment”. 

Including the zip code of the rental property will add a bonus search to the tenant screening report. ApplyConnect will check the zip code for any local laws on what information can be used in the rental decision, and then will reduce your liabilities by filtering information that isn’t safe to rely on.

No! There is no part of the process that will have an impact on anyone’s credit score. If your social security number is required during the account setup process then it is only a one-time, safe and secure way of verifying your identity. When a report is purchased the renter’s SSN is requested again for the credit report, and it is used for a ‘soft-inquiry’ meaning there will be zero impact to the credit score.

ApplyConnect reports always include an Experian credit report, a nationwide criminal database scan, and a nationwide eviction history. There is no need to select individual reports or pick from a variety of products – the report is designed to be fair and consistent for all applicants while providing the most well-rounded amount of relevant detail to make informed decisions. 

This is the credit score included on all tenant screening reports. Many people are familiar with the FICO score, and VantageScore works exactly the same way. The biggest difference is the VantageScore is newer, and is able to provide a score on over 30 million more people.

A database scan of all available U.S. sex offender registries to help landlords and real estate agents determine whether they can legally approve an applicant based on the location of their property. A physical description and photographs will be displayed, when available.
