Promote Vacancies Using Unique URLs

SHARE:

ApplyConnect, a revolutionary alternative to traditional tenant screening for landlords and real estate agents, offers a unique web link for use in advertisements at no cost to clients. The link can be utilized by multiple renters and no longer requires landlords and real estate agents to create an invitation for each applicant.

This ApplyConnect feature further streamlines the efficiencies of the tenant screening process, delivering the nation’s most comprehensive reports in a simple, easy-to-use online system. The unique link is assigned to a rental property address and will continue to work until the landlord or real estate agent chooses to delete it. There is no limit to the number of links that may be generated by each user.

“We are excited to offer ApplyConnect agents and landlords the ability to easily generate a ‘screen now’ web link that is already associated with them and their rental property. They can easily place their assigned URL into their rental advertisements, apartment listing sites and their own websites thus eliminating the need to send a new invitation to each prospective renter,” said Sabrina Bower, CIC President.

This product enhancement saves time by providing the URL web link for screening to be included in each advertisement. Once an applicant finds the property they wish to apply for, they can immediately purchase the report and agree to share their tenant background check, expediting the rental process. No longer do they need to get the all the occupants name and email addresses.

ApplyConnect is available 24/7 and has no setup fees, no contracts and no onsite inspection requirement. With traditional tenant screening services, the time it takes for a credit reporting agency to establish an account can range from several days to a week.

This one-of-a-kind system delivers the full Experian® credit report, risk score, nationwide eviction, criminal and sex offender search within seconds of an applicant purchasing and sharing their report online. The screening is at no cost to landlords and real estate agents.

With ApplyConnect, agents and landlords expand the selection of qualified applicants to those with minimal or thin credit history. The VantageScore® 3.0 allows for approximately 35 million more consumers to be scored, as compared to other scoring models.

“Experian is pleased to be working with ApplyConnect on enhancing its rental screening process to help mitigate financial risks with potential tenants,” said David Proctor, Experian Vice President of Product Management.

ApplyConnect is the first of its kind to deliver everything needed to evaluate an applicant’s credit report and tenant background check with zero impact on the applicant’s credit score. Considered a soft inquiry, the applicant initiates the process to share their credit report with a real estate agent or landlord.

Thoroughly examining an applicant’s credit report and background check helps mitigate the risk of unwanted scenarios, such as late rental payments and property damage. As the rental market continues to see growth, ApplyConnect will continue to help real estate agents and landlords fill their vacancies quicker and with qualified renters, saving time and money through free and comprehensive tenant screening.

  1. Great article! Just wish you would’ve added a paragraph stating that owners should add their property management company as an “additional insured”. Liability only. So many owners don’t understand this but it is a huge issue, especially because as you said, we live in a “sue happy society”, and more and more tenants are being taught how to become rich quick.

Thanks for listening! I really look forward to reading more of your articles!
